Floral, Orchid & Plant Care
Orchid Care
Watering Water orchids once a week, or when the soil is dry, depending on the breed. Avoid overwatering, which can cause root rot.
Fertilizing Use an orchid fertilizer to feed your orchid once a month to every other week after the blooms have fallen off. You can put the fertilizer in a watering can to place it close to the base of the plant.
Humidity Increase humidity around your orchid with a humidifier, humidity tray, or by spraying the plant. Orchids are tropical plants and prefer a humid environment, especially in the winter.
Repotting Repot your orchid every one to two years when the roots look crowded to encourage new growth and keep the potting media healthy. Repotting with fresh orchid mix also helps with drainage and root aeration.
Sunlight Place your orchid in a bright windowsill facing east or west.
Air roots Don't trim your orchid's air roots, as they help the plant absorb water and nutrients. Trimming them can cause the plant to struggle or die
FLORAL Care

Trim at least a half inch of stem off your flowers before you put them in a vase and each time you change the water.
